This product consists of cellular polymer foam bound to a neutral dense silicate mineral with organic oil.
SECTION 3 HAZARDOUS IDENTIFICATION
Inhalation Incinerated at high temperatures will create nitrous fumes. Breathe fresh air
SECTION 4 FIRST AID MEASURES
Skin Contact No negative reactions known Eye Contact In case of contact, flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes using an eyewash fountain, if available. Get medical attention if irritation occurs. Ingestion Avoid ingestion, however no known effects.
SECTION 5 FIRE MEASURES
Flammability Sorbitec FG will not ignite or burn. No explosion risk. Fire Fighting Product will disintegrate at temperatures <1200 °C. Firemen may consider breathing protection to avoid minor nitrous fumes.
SECTION 6 ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Waste Disposal Incinerated or biological decomposition is recommended if any hazardous liquids have been absorbed; otherwise Sorbitec Fg may be disposed with general waste products.
SECTION 7 HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling Procedure & Storing No special handling required. Keep product in original packaging to retain moisture. Food Plant and Industrial Use: Avoid contamination of food in application and storage. Do not use on food contact surfaces.
SECTION 8 EXPOSURE CONTROL / PERSONAL PROTECTION
Ventilation When handling large volumes of Sorbitec Fg, protect against excessive dust inhalation. Gloves If skin sensitivity, gloves should be considered Eyes Safety glasses or chemical splash goggles should be considered if there is a risk of getting dust particles in the eyes.

Sorbitec FG absorbent is in compliance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency “Toxic Substance Control Act” (TSCA) rules, orders and regulations, including: Sections 4, 5, 6, & 7; Title 40 Chapter 1, Part 701.20 through 707.75; 40 CFR Sections 704.3, 710.2(e) and 720.3(c); and Sections 5 and 13, reference 42FR64583. Sorbitec absorbent materials are classified as, and meet all criteria and definitions of, an “Article”, and such are not subject to TSCA import classification, nor PreManufacture Notice (PMN).
